Rockwell Automation announces new Vietnam country manager

Rockwell Automation, the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, has appointed Pham Kieu Trinh as Country Manager for Vietnam effective immediately. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Trinh will be responsible for the company’s business operations and direct sales in the country. She reports to Marcelo Tarkieltaub, Rockwell Automation Regional Director for Southeast Asia. Trinh has over 17 years of experience with global enterprises in diverse technology and manufacturing sectors. Prior to joining Rockwell Automation, she was Country Manager for Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand for a Fortune 100 technology company that delivers industry-specific solutions, driving their automatic identification and data capture solutions. In that role, Trinh also strengthened the company’s government relations, strategic business planning and brand awareness. “I am delighted to join Rockwell Automation as the Country Manager for Vietnam and look forward to developing our business here. I aim to leverage my knowledge to build our capabilities and improve sales across Vietnam by developing our distributor and partner ecosystems, serving the market’s growing automation demand adequately with highly relevant products and services,” said Trinh. “By 2025, we aim to achieve double digit growth rates and increase our market share by twofold. We also plan to expand our Vietnam team by 50% by the end of this year,” she added. Seamless connectivity between manufacturing plants

Epsilon Telecommunications (Epsilon), a global connectivity provider, has been selected by Belton Technology Group, a full turnkey contract manufacturer headquartered in Hong Kong, to completely re-architect its wide-area network (WAN). Recycling plant in Jakarta steps into the future of dairy and meat processing

The GWE wastewater recycling plant engineered to achieve compact high efficiency with proven processes. One of the world’s largest dairy companies is installing a high efficiency wastewater treatment and water reuse facility at its new dairy plant in Jakarta to achieve 99 per cent organic content removal to meet outstanding recycling and sustainability standards. The new facility of PT Frisian Flag – a subsidiary of the Royal FrieslandCampina multinational – is scheduled for startup in 2022 and is using proven state-of-the-art technologies to produce potable recycled water from the plant wastewater. The Global Water & Energy (GW&E) technologies employed include a COHRAL™ (Covered High Rate Anaerobic Lagoon) system of a type already proven in one of Australia’s largest meat processing facilities, at Oakey in Queensland, where it significantly improves water quality, reduces odour, while producing biogas to reduce fossil fuel demands and saving the company more than AUD $800,000 (approx. US $585,000) per year in natural gas. The Jakarta facility will not only achieve outstanding quality potable water outputs for recycling, but also the biogas generated there during treatment can later be used in the factory to decrease fossil fuel dependency. The plant is engineered to produce up to 6,000 Nm3 of biogas a day. The facility will also benefit from minimal waste disposal costs, thanks to application of the anaerobic process and sludge dewatering units. “The GWE technology employed here is a huge step into the future of sustainability and recycling for livestock industries and agribusiness producing waste with high organic content, says Michael Bambridge, Managing Director of CST Wastewater Solutions. Flexicon opens Malaysia office

Flexicon Singapore Pte Ltd have opened a new office in Malaysia to provide factory-direct sales and applications engineering services throughout Southeast Asia, it was announced by Greg Slack, Vice President Global Sales, Flexicon Corporation. The new location will be headed by Shien Chong Ong, Regional Sales Manager, who holds a degree in Materials Science from National Cheng Kung University and has served in technical engineering positions since 2013, in the steel, plastics and filtration technology industries. He will be responsible for building relationships with plant managers, engineers and other decision-makers in facilities that handle bulk solid materials across the food, pharmaceutical, mineral and general chemical industries. “Ong will be undertaking a pivotal role in our continuous efforts to grow market share in Southeast Asia.
