MTA VIETNAM2014 amidst thriving manufacturing sector
Singapore: Following the successful edition in 2013, MTA VIETNAM is set to return with the largest and most comprehensive display of showcase of metalcutting and metalforming machinery as well as tooling systems that cater to Vietnam’s robust manufacturing industry.
The Vietnamese manufacturing sector has gained momentum this year, with January seeing the strongest rise in output since April 2011. There is a sharp increase in pledged FDI, mostly channelled into the manufacturing sector, which is expected to further accelerate exports in the coming year. This reflects the country’s competitiveness in labour-intensive manufacturing, which may drive Vietnam to become an alternative to China as a manufacturing base.
Retaining its position as the premiere trade event for Vietnam’s manufacturing industry, MTA VIETNAM2013 will return to the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City from 8 – 11 July. The event remains the choice event of the Vietnamese manufacturing industry to source for the latest technologies and services in precision engineering, machine tools and metalworking equipment presently available in the global marketplace.
Since its inaugural edition back in 2005 in Ho Chi Minh City, MTA VIETNAM has established itself as the must-go annual event for Vietnamese manufacturing professionals. As with the previous edition of MTA VIETNAM, the show this year continues to see strong support from international trade bodies and government agencies. MTA VIETNAM2014 will welcome group pavilions from Germany, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand, as well as an impressive line-up of local supporting government organisations.
“MTA VIETNAM has supported the manufacturing industry in Vietnam through the years, by offering the ideal platform for the showcase of the latest technologies and solutions, as well as business networking and idea exchange opportunities. With the Vietnamese manufacturing capabilities gaining momentum this year, MTA VIETNAM is set to play an even more important role in bringing international technology know-hows to Vietnam. We look forward to a strong line-up of exhibitors, many of which are returning exhibitors – a testament to the relevance and importance of the show,” says Mr. William Lim, Project Director for MTA VIETNAM from the show’s organiser, Singapore Exhibition Services (SES).
Notable international exhibitors at this year’s show include renowned industry brands such as Beijing Jingdiao Blum, Big Daishowa, Bruderer, Bystronic, Davi, Dine, DMG Mori, Erowa, Flow, Guehring, Haas, Hexagon Metrology, Hoffmann, Hurco, HwaCheon, Iscar, Makino, Mazak, Microtest, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitutoyo, MST, Nikon, OKK, Okamoto, Optical Gaging, PrimaPower, Renishaw, Sandvik, Schaublin, Sodick, Studer, Sumitomo Electric Hardmetal, TRUMPF, Wenzel, YG-1, and many more.
Following the resounding success of the show last year, exhibitors from MTA VIETNAM2013 pledged to return this year – like Mr. Tony Johansson, Managing Director, Hwacheon Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. He said, “As a first-time exhibitor, we found MTA VIETNAM2013 to be very well-organised. We are here to increase our brand exposure in the Vietnam market and we received very good response. We have met many relevant and new customers that span across a number of industries. We will definitely be back next year!”
Likewise, visitors were impressed with the exhibition, and had indicated their interest to visit again this year. Mr. Cao Thanh Trong, Assistant Section Chief, Mtex Vietnam Co Ltd, said, “I have visited MTA VIETNAM several times and I am impressed with the exhibition this year. There are more new products and solutions available. Also, the Germany pavilion has expanded, showing a greater range of high quality technologies. I am here to search for drills, laser machines and tapping equipment and have exchanged contacts with potential suppliers such as Bessey Tool and Minitec. I will be back to visit the next MTA VIETNAM.”
The exhibition is organised by Singapore Exhibition Services Pte Ltd (SES) and local organiser VCCI Exhibition Service Co Ltd (VCCI).
